Training with Pain or Injuries
Are you struggling with pain while exercising or in your daily life? Pain can cause new and frustrating limitations that can be challenging to overcome on your own. Our trainers are skilled in developing programs specific to minimizing or addressing pain. By working in conjunction with our therapists, they can help you move past these limitations.
Our Trainers have an extensive understanding of how the body moves and which exercises can help you work towards overcoming that pain or injury. You can workout without fear of re-injury, knowing that you trainer will help you learn these specific exercises that you can utilize in session and at home or when working out on your own.
As you improve your stamina, strength and flexibility, your workout needs will evolve and your trainer will make these adjustments with you.

Half of our personal trainers are also massage therapists. Training with special populations
We have experience and expertise in training any “body” including people with disabilities, amputees, and people with neurologically induced limitations.
Greater Than has held fitness and mobility classes for the Dallas Amputee Network and provided services for members of the Dallas Wheelchair Tennis and basketball teams.
Our trainers will first conduct an initial assessment that includes specific, realistic client goals, review health history, and take the client through a series of specific exercises to assess things like balance, strength and mobility. Using the information gathered from the initial assessment/training session provides the framework to develop an appropriate program that is specific to the individual and their unique needs.The goal of these programs are typically focused on preservation and movement enhancement.

FORMING HEALTHY WORKOUT HABITS IS DIFFICULT!
We recognize the flaws and mind-numbing boredom that can come along with some other gym-bound activities. Here at Greater Than Performance and Rehab, we have designed a workout to work your butt off with our Boxing/ Kickboxing training, but it will feel effortless because of how much fun you will have and how engaged you will feel with other participants.
Whether you’re new to the gym or have previous experience, these intense workouts are designed to provide you with a physical and mental challenge. Learn the proper technique from professionals, and you’ll improve your cardio while building your power, speed and strength. Boxing/ Kickboxing sessions incorporate drills used by the pros, including pad work for accuracy and sharpening your “fight IQ”. Our coaching staff comprises both men and women with more than 20+ years of combined martial arts experience.
This will not be easy, but once you start to see the results, you will begin to get that empowering feeling back that you have been desiring.

Your trainer can create customized programming for you to come in and do on your own here at Greater Than. You can choose to do weekly or monthly check-in sessions for additional guidance if desired, and train at your own pace.
